Another Successful Year at Curl Mesabi

Second Year as Curl Mesabi Paints a Bright Future

The 1999-2000 curling season proved to be successful as the joint club continues to develop. Our facility once again impressed many of the participants during the very busy season.

This past season we held our first National event, the Senior Nationals, which proved to be very successful as teams from all over the nation were treated to some good curling and great hospitality. Senior Nationals were just one of the events keeping our Club very busy.

From the middle of December to the end of March, our Club hosted some type of event every weekend and leagues every weekday. Chuck Rozinka and Phill Drobnick had their hands full keeping the ice ready for all the play. They deserve our gratitude for a job well done.

Spring Banquet Set

Curl Mesabi's Annual Spring Banquet is set for April 14th at 6:00PM at the RRCC. The evening will include a meeting, dinner and dancing. Please sign up with Tina Hocevar or Pat Wainio. Cost will be $15.00 per person, which includes your meal and the dance.

Ballots will be mailed soon, on which you may cast your vote for future board members. Please mail your ballot in prior to the Banquet or bring it to the Banquet so your vote will count. At the Spring Banquet, there will be sign-up sheets for various committees and events. We need you to participate in our Club. That is the only way things will get accomplished.
