THE START OF CURL MESABICurl Mesabi started as a joint venture between the State of Minnesota, the Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board, the City of Eveleth, the City of Mountain Iron, the City of Gilbert, the City of Virginia and the Eveleth, Gilbert and Virginia Curling Clubs. All three clubs are now combined into one organization, known as Curl Mesabi. Curl Mesabi is located in the Range Recreation and Civic Center located in Eveleth, Minnesota. This 8 sheet facility was completed in 1998 and 1998-1999 was Curl Mesabi's first season. Curl Mesabi has approximately 425 members including men, women, seniors and juniors. Curl Mesabi is governed by a 9 member Board of Directors |
